Data Balance Announces 4th Generation Edge 4G
CLEARWATER FL - Recognizing that the internet has a lot of dirty traffic – “like the Wild West” — a technology firm here has introduced a traffic cop called “Edge 4G” for fourth generation.
It blocks harmful traffic and also provides disaster recovery. It is integrated with the company’s managed service, called Pro Balance.
Data Balance Inc, which has locations in Clearwater, Sarasota and Naples, believes its Edge-4G is the first network device to combine data protection with business continuity capability. Edge rejects viruses, spyware, phishing, spamming and other harmful traffic. Simultaneously, it backs up, on to hard drives with 3000 GB to 7500 GB, everything important to keeping the business running.
It can be rented for as little as $250 monthly or purchased for $2500-3000, depending on configuration.
Data Balance calls it “Your network insurance policy” which “slams the door on suspicious traffic” and shuts down “denial of service” attacks. It also hides company networks from the outside.
As a filter between employees and the Internet, the product monitors and controls web usage. It can halt instant messenger, online games, and streaming video.
For company-wide communications, Edge connects remote offices via a Virtual Private Network or VPN. Edge fits a 1U rack, and can also be used without a rack.
Data Balance is headquartered at 13923 ICOT Blvd., Clearwater FL 33760, and has locations also in Sarasota and Naples. Telephone 727-532-0603. Fax 727-531-6172. Email service@databalance.com.
